Preselect your seats through your airline following these instructions. Remember that the airline may charge you a fee to allow you to do this.
If you don’t preselect your seats, your airline will randomly assign you seats during check-in. If you’re traveling with someone else, the airline will try to keep your group seated together. However, this may not be possible if there are limited seats. Unfortunately, this depends solely on the airline and the number of available seats.
I’m traveling with a minor
If you’re traveling with a minor, the airline will try to assign you seats next to each other. However, each airline has different policies. For example, Latam Airlines and American Airlines guarantee that a minor will be seated with at least one of the adults in their group. On the other hand, airlines such as Gol, Azul, Avianca, and Aeromexico will try to do this but can’t guarantee it. Unfortunately, these decisions depend solely on each airline’s policies.
