Why is the lugagge I see in my booking different from what I see at the airline's website?

If you purchased luggage directly with your airline and then logged in to your reservation in My Trips, you will not see that additional luggage reflected. This does not mean an error with your purchase: that luggage is only registered in the airline's system. If the airline confirmed that they had added it, there’s no need for you to see it reflected in Despegar. However, if you’re unsure about this, we recommend contacting the airline.
